Do you remember our young music prodigy who hit it big when she won Nigeria's Got Talent in 2012 at 8yrs. If you don't, let me help you out, her name is Amarachi Uyanne, the 10 year old musician, dancer and violinist, popularly known for her hit track "Amarachi Dance".

Well she has another awesome track now titled "Over Sabi" where she featured the popular Indigenous rapper, 'Phyno'.

UNN Suspends Postgraduate Programme

UNN Suspends Postgraduate Programme, Ask Students To
Leave Hostels

This information reached us recently and it is quite hard to believe that an increase the fees of the Post-Graduate students which led to the on-going crisis has now resulted in the university suspending the Post-Graduate program.
The following was contained in a mail sent to students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, detailing a few important points.

In view of the on-going impasse resulting in the undue postgraduate
restiveness, Management has directed *IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION* of all
postgraduate programmes indefinitely till further notice.

Postgraduate students in then PG Hostels are directed to *VACATE THE PG
HOSTELS NOT LATER THAN 6 PM TODAY,* Friday January 16, 2015.

All concerned should please comply to avoid unpleasant consequences.

CAF AWARDS


Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, has been named the 2014 CAF African Footballer of the year. The Ivorian midfielder has re-written history, as he is the first footballer to win the pretisgous award four times in a row, the City midfielder beat Nigeria's Vincent Enyeama and Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

12 Symptoms of Kidney Disease You Should Never Ignore

Most people are not aware of the fact that kidney diseases can be silent killers. They may not show any symptoms for a long time till the situation becomes critical. It is important to recognize the symptoms of kidney diseases to catch them early.

1. Changes in your urinary function
The first symptom of kidney disease is changes the amount, frequency of your urination. There may be an increase or decrease in amount and/or its frequency, especially at night. It may also look more dark colored. You may feel the urge to urinate but are unable to do so when you get to the restroom.

2. Difficulty or pain during voiding
Sometimes you have difficulty or feel pressure or pain while voiding. Urinary tract infections may cause symptoms such as pain or burning during urination. When these infections spread to the kidneys they may cause fever and pain in your back.

3. Blood in the urine
This is a symptom of kidney disease which is a definite cause for concern. There may be other reasons, but it is advisable to visit your doctor in case you notice it.

ANOTHER GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BROKEN

Its Official now...  

The Akwa Ibom State choral group has broken the world record for the largest number of Christmas carol singers in the world. The unity choir consisting of a 25,272-man choral group broke the record during a concert in the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday, December 13, 2014 with Guinness World Records representatives in attendance.

While making the announcement, Guinness World Records adjudicator, Liz Smith, congratulated the choir and said...


“It is now time to reveal the report of the official attempt to break the Guinness World Record of the largest group of carol singers.
Our team of highly trained record specialists have reached a decision. The record to beat was 15,674. I can now confirm that your attempt to break the record has been successful.
Congratulations on receiving a new Guinness World Records Title. The title of the largest group of carol singers has been achieved by Godswill Akpabio Unity Choir. You are officially amazing.”


The record was formerly held by a group called 'CENTI' in Bogota, Columbia. 

They had 15,674 carol singers in (December 15, 2013),
