Proposed New Map Of Nigeria


Following the July 3rd recommendation for 18 additional states to be created to bring the number of states in Nigeria to 54, members of the National conference Committee on Political Restructuring and Forms of Government jointly headed by Ike Nwachukwu & Mohammed Kumalia have released a copy of the proposed a new map of Nigeria with the additional states added. (Pictured above).


Newly approved states as seen on the map: 
  1. Apa from Benue State
  2. Edu from Niger State
  3. Kainji from Kebbi state
  4. Katagum from Bauchi State
  5. Savannah from Borno State
  6. Amana from Adamawa State
  7. Gurara from Kaduna State
  8. Ghari from Kano State
  9. Etiti from South East State
  10. Aba from Abia State
  11. Adada from Enugu State
  12. Njaba from Anambra and Imo States
  13. Oil River from Rivers State
  14. Anioma from Delta State
  15. Ogoja from Cross River State
  16. Ijebu from Ogun State
  17. Ose state from Edo State
  18. New Oyo State from the present Oyo State
