This horrible incident happened on Wednesday night (23/12/2015), as a hostel in University of Nigeria, Nsukka caught fire.
According to an occupant of the hostel, the whole thing started when power was interrupted and immediately restored, which points towards an electrical fault.
Thankfully, no lives were lost and the fire was put off after much interventions but so many properties where lost in the fire as the top floor (300 series) was totally caught up.
